This popular class will inspire you to grow vegetables and herbs. Learn exactly what plants thrive now and how to grow them. Basil, chard, cucumbers, tomatoes and much more can all be transplanted now. Corn, lettuce, squash, bean, and carrot seeds are among the many seed varieties eager to germinate at this time of year. You will get plenty of ideas and instructions for direct sowing, transplanting, creating healthy soil and harvesting. Class will conclude with a tour of the Common Ground Demonstration Garden. Drew is the talented and wonderful Common Ground Demonstration Garden Manager and the former manager of the Stanford Community Farm. He has gardened in our Ecology Action Research Garden/Mini-Farm in Willits.
